Abstract
Meldrum’s acid has been found to react with equimolar quantities of aldehydes and secondary cyclic aliphatic amines to yield the corresponding Mannich bases which decompose under acidic conditions to afford the monoalkylidene derivatives in excellent yields. © 1984 ASEG.
