Abstract

The article re-analyzes the Study 329 placebo controlled randomized trial on the safety and efficacy of paroxetine and imipramine in adolescents with major depression. Among the cited adverse effects of paroxetine in adolescents are self harm and suicidal ideation. It also reports the settlement of criminal and civil proceedings between the U.S. Department of Justice and drug manufacturer GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) in 2012.
