Abstract

Benzenesulfonamides of formula I [A = N-bonded (substituted) nitrogen-contg. ring; R1-R5 = H, OH, NH2, halo, alkoxy, etc.] are prepd. as γ-secretase inhibitors for use in treating or preventing cognitive disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease.
