Abstract

Despite cash being in widespread use in the Indian economy today, digital payment systems are becoming increasingly popular owing to their speed, ease of use, and convenience.Covid-19 pandemic had forced retailers to adopt digital payment methods. In the past one year alone, retail digital payments have grown significantly due to the fear of contracting COVID-19 and the convenience offered by digital transactions.This study aims to identify and analyze the factors that determine the adoption of digital payment technologies among the retail stores. The research is based on primary data collected through well-structured questionnaires from small retailers. The collected data are analyzed to determine the factors influencing the adoption of digital payment service among small retailers using appropriate statistical tools.
