Abstract

A new species of Candelabrochaete (Corticiaceae, Polyporales, Basidiomycota) is described and illustrated from specimens collected in two islands of the Macaronesian region, Faial (Azores) and Madeira. Affinities with other close species as C. africana, C. langloisii and C. septocystidia are discussed.
