Mariza Corrêa (1945-2016) – A very personal homage

Abstract

This article recalls Mariza Corrêa’s first steps in anthropology, and the production of her innovative master’s dissertation and the impact that it had on feminist politics in Brazil. It also addresses the importance of personal relations in academic production, with special consideration to Mariza Corrêa’s husband, Plínio Dentzien.
