Abstract

In this talk I presented a case study concerning the design of a hotel pricing service. This service was developed to replace an aging legacy system and it is a core element in the ecosystem of applications within the hotel company which is modernizing its IT infrastructure. The service was designed based on the CQRS pattern and it consists of a set of microservices that communicate using events. Deployment to the cloud is performed using CI/CD. The design of the service was based on the Attribute Driven Design (ADD) method and the presentation illustrated how different design iterations of this design method were used to address specific architecture drivers..
