ENLIGHTENING ISLAMIC PREACHING: Study on Da`wah of Muhammadiyah in The Contemporary Era

Abstract

The Enlightening Islamic preaching is a new model of da`wah of Muhammadiyah in the contemporary era. Conceptually, in the one side, the Enlightening Islamic preaching can be comprehended as a creative and innovative thought of da`wah. It efforts to integrate interconnectively some dimensions of Islamic principles with Indonesian local wisdoms and universal humanity values in order to reconstruct a new formulation of da`wah.  And, in the other side, it’s also can be seemed as a very progressive and significant movement of da`wah  because it attempts to find the real and smart solutions to some problems of Islamic societies and humanities,  especially in the context of modernization of Indonesian peoples
