Abstract
This study investigates the relationship between student satisfaction with university facilities and services and its impact on academic performance at Koforidua Technical University, Ghana. Drawing on Expectation-Confirmation Theory, Herzberg’s Two-Factor Theory and Astin’s Student Involvement Theory, the study focused on three dimensions of facilities and services: teaching methods, classroom environment, and library facilities. A descriptive quantitative research design was adopted, and data were collected through questionnaires administered to 253 students selected from different faculties of the university. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and regression analysis. The findings revealed that teaching methods, classroom environment, and library facilities significantly influence student satisfaction, which in turn positively affects academic performance. The study highlights the importance of improving university facilities and services as a strategy to enhance student satisfaction and academic success. The results provide practical implications for university administrators and policymakers, while future research could extend the study to multiple institutions for broader generalization within the Ghanaian higher education context.
