Abstract
GeoMedia is an open-source mobile platform designed for sharing multimedia content - such as text, images, audio, and video - anchored to real-world geographic locations. By leveraging GPS data and a map-centric user interface, GeoMedia offers a seamless integration between digital content and physical space, enabling users to publish and explore posts directly on an interactive map. Additionally, GeoMedia enables users to view and post exclusive location-based media, which can only be accessed within a specific time frame or geographical range, reinforcing the connection between digital experiences and real-world presence. This paper presents the motivation behind GeoMedia, details its system architecture and implementation, and explores potential use cases and future development trajectories.
