Abstract

Tetrachloroethylene, also known as perchloroethylene (PERC) is an unsaturated chlorinated hydrocarbon solvent, used in industry for commercial drycleaning and metal degreasing. The boiling point of tetrachloroethylene is 121 degree C, and the blood/air and fat/air partition coefficients at 37 degree C are approx. 15 and approx. 2000, respectively. Occupational health monitoring is discussed.
