Abstract

Diffuse axonal injury is an important cause of morbidity and mortality, and of psychoneurological sequelae. Findings are few, if any, in computerized axial tomography . MR is the most important diagnostic method for identification of the type of lesions and their localization. Diffusion is particularly sensitive for their detection, and MR spectroscopy can give prognosis information.
