Abstract
It is belived that one of the factor that influences the organizational development is the academic level, in ad-dition, the increase of female presence in manager positions has created uncertainty about the performance analyzed by the gender perspective. In this work has studied how gender and academic level influence the organizational performance of sme, by analyzing a sample of 100 sme in southern Sonora. The results reveal that al-though performance issue there is a significant difference in the rate measuring internal and rational process-es, where it is stated that the woman has a higher yield than men, there are no significant differences in overall performance resulting from the representation of gender and academic level this paper aims to contribute to the principle of equal opportunities in access to power and growth-oriented development of women and cultural change
