Abstract
This article presents the prototype of a low-cost system to monitor climatic variables that affect production in poultry farms, such as: enclosure lighting, temperature, relative humidity, flammable gases such as butane and toxic gases such as ammonia, proposing the monitoring and control of these variables through actuators such as fans and light bulbs. For the construction of the prototype, two modules were used, one called the telemetry unit in charge of making the connection with the Wi-Fi network and the second called the logger unit, which will receive the values from the sensors and determine when to activate the actuators. The Arduino UNO board was selected as the logger, which will be transmitting all the information from the reading of the sensors, through commands sent to the serial port to the telemetry unit corresponding to the ESP8266 module, where it is finally sent to the Ubidots platform. The transmission, storage and management of the values of the variables on the web platform were achieved, as well as the activation of the relay modules for the control of the actuator components. The estimated price of the system is USD 69.30 corresponding to the implanted hardware. The preliminary results of the project are presented in this article.
