Abstract

Malignant hyperthermia is a dreaded complication of general anaesthesia which, in the majority of cases, ends in the death of the patient. Every bit of knowledge that helps us to recognize predisposed patients in good time and to institute suitable protective measures, contributes towards reducing our fear of this lifethreatening syndrome.
