Abstract

Patients admitted to intensive care units (ICU) have significantly disrupted sleep with circadian displacement. In this article we briefly discuss factors related to sleep disruption in ICU and the tasks of individual members of ICU multidisciplinary teams in promoting consolidated nocturnal sleep of critically ill patients. © 2014 Springer Science+Business Media New York.
