PEMANFAATAN LIMBAH PERTANIAN MENJADI BIOCHAR DAN KOMPOS SEBAGAI AMELIORAN TANAH UTILISATION OF AGRICULTURAL WASTE INTO BIOCHAR AND COMPOST AS SOIL AMELIORAN

Abstract

This activity aims to provide knowledge and skill to Jambu Rejo village community, Sumber Harta District, Musi Rawas Regency. The community service program was carried out in the form of counseling and practice regarding the benefits and methods of making biochar and compost. In this service activity the community was also provided with ways to make compost stater alternativel using chicken intestine. The result of this activity, the community gained knowledge about how to make biochar and compost, so that it could be an alternative solution for farmers in the village of Jambu Rejo to overcome obstacles in the management of dry land. The other benefit of this activity is increasing public awareness in utilizing agricultural waste as soil ameliorating material so that it can reduce the farmer costs in the cultivation process.
