Abstract

An instruments in education must have high-quality and each item must meet the appropriate requirements. In order to obtain a high-quality instruments, apart from a theoretical analysis (review of items based on aspects of content, construction, and language), it is also necessary to carry out an empirical item analysis. Empirical item analysis can be devided into two, namely the Clasical Test Theory (CTT) and Item Response Theory (IRT) or latent trait model. The IRT was developed to resolved some of the weaknesses of CTT. There are three models in IRT, namely 1PL, 2 PL, and 3PL model logistic. The aim of this study is to review the analysis model with 1PL, known as Rasch model, and determine the suitability of the models based on the AIC value. The smaller of the AIC value shows more appropriate the model is.
