Abstract

A case of hypokalemic periodic paralysis is described. This patient, who has the hyperthyroid form of hypokalemic periodic paralysis, should respond well to the usual measures. As his hyperthyroidism is controlled, his periodic paralysis will also disappear. The syndrome of HPP is discussed, and the pathogenesis reviewed.
