Desigualdades raciais e políticas públicas: Ações afirmativas no governo Lula

Abstract

The article offers an overview of the main federal government programs and actions related to race issues, particularly health and educational policies. It relates those policies to a political process that precedes the current government, while also indicating turning points in the definition of the political agenda. It suggests as well a research agenda and identifies the issues that need to be raised by the intellectual debates in Brazil.
