É POSSÍVEL UM SUJEITO ECLESIAL?

Abstract

A afirmação presente no Documento de Aparecida de que o laicato é sujeito eclesial nos levou a examinar os pressupostos para que ele o seja de fato. Assim, depois de descrever em breves traços a Igreja que herdamos do passado, abordamos a necessidade de se criar uma nova mentalidade no laicato, então caracterizada no passado pela passividade. Entretanto, constatamos que a esta nova mentalidade exige também mudança na configuração eclesial para que possa fazer emergir um laicato adulto e ativo, já que existe uma interação entre ambas. No final, mencionamos ainda as exigências de cunho espiritual, como a liberdade interior e o amor à Igreja para um juízo objetivo e um comportamento correspondente por parte do indivíduo na comunidade eclesial.ABSTRACT: The present affirmation in the Document of Aparecida that the layperson is an ecclesiastical subject led us to examine the suppositions supporting that he is in fact. Thus, after describing in brief traces the Church that we inherit from the past, we approach the necessity of creating a new mentality in the laity, up until now characterized in the past by passivity. However, we report that this new mentality demands change in the ecclesiastical configuration so that it can allow the emergence of an adult and active laity, since an interaction between both already exists. In the end, we mention the requirements of a spiritual nature, as the interior freedom and the love of the Church for an objective judgment and a corresponding behavior on the part of the individual in the ecclesiastical community.
