Abstract

The work reveals the psychological foundations of training in sports and physical education. Sports activities are combined with the inclusion of a person in various social relationships. The athlete occupies a certain social position, for example, takes the path of professional sports or prepares for a professional career. He needs to combine sports with study, mastering the profession, taking care of the family, maintain specific contacts in the field of sports. Not every athlete manages to get used to frequent moves, sports mode, etc. The social status of different sports is sometimes quite different in the world, in a given country or among representatives of a given culture due to geographical and climatic location, due to the level of development of culture and civilization, social structure, the nature of the main occupations of the population, etc. The formation and development of mental processes and personal qualities of athletes is necessary for successful training activities and competitions. At the same time, it is clear that psychological training can help to effectively implement other types of training (general physical, special physical, theoretical, tactical and technical) and combine it with appropriate goals, forms and methods to achieve a competitive advantage. One of the aspects of the application of scientific achievements of psychology and the implementation of its methods and methods to increase the effectiveness of sports activities is psychological training. In this regard, psychological training is closely related to improving the psychological culture of sports and the integration of sports sciences. Such an approach solves organizational problems and organizes research, but this issue remains problematic for solving systemic interactions in various ways. So, psychological training is a set of measures related to the formation, development and improvement of mental qualities necessary for the successful professional activity of athletes, which are carried out through purposeful and systematic training.
