Abstract

The method was used to evaluate the corrosion resistance of anodized aluminum in neutral phosphate solution and the results compared with salt spray and atmospheric exposure tests. Samples anodized in sulfuric acid were more resistant than those anodized in phosphoric acid. The corrosion resistance was independent of film thickness.
