Abstract

Obesity has been recognized as a chronic disease by the WHO since 2007 and affects different bio-psycho-social domains in an individual. Numerous studies have proven the effectiveness of Mindfulness meditation in improving many bio-psycho-social parameters in the individual. This article shows how the complexity of the disease “obesity” requires, for the caregiver, more careful consideration of the patient's needs. Mindfulness can be a technique at the service of the obese patient.
