Science Communication in India: Current Trends and Future Vision

Abstract

India has a rich scientific heritage. Scientific research in astronomy, medicine, mathematics, and material science has been carried out since ancient times. India is advancing technologically, and the need to disseminate scientific information to the non-scientific community is growing rapidly day-by-day. Over the last few years, India has experienced a large-scale proliferation of science communication activities through various programs initiated by the central government, state government, and NGOs.
