Abstract

The finding of Vellozia gigantea in an isolated Campo Rupestre massif within the Mata Atlântica Domain is a remarkable discovery that adds considerable conservation importance to the Serra do Padre ngelo and Serra da Aliança, in the Doce River valley, Minas Gerais state, Brazil.
