Abstract
Two types of optically active molecules based on planar chiral 4,7,12,15-tetrasubstituted [2.2]paracyclophane were synthesized through chemoselective Sonogashira-Hagihara coupling. One is a 3-shaped molecule consisting of two π-electron systems stacked, and the other is a ‡-shaped molecule consisting of three π-electron systems stacked. Their optical and chiroptical properties were investigated, which exhibited large molar absorption coefficient, excellent photoluminescence quantum efficiency, and intense circularly polarized luminescence (CPL).
