Abstract
It is the internet that brings the information fragmentation era, further influencing people’s life as well as society. As human beings are stepping into the information fragmentation era, both the input and the output of the information changes significantly, and these changes further bring many influences to the masses and society. In this process, the medium has played an essential role. This study explores the reasons and influences of the information fragmentation era from the perspective of the internet. This study analyzes the features of the internet and the input and output of fragmented information. The study reveals that the internet changes the quality of the information, people’s habits of the input, and the output of information. The quality of the information becomes hard to distinguish, and the information is not as deep as it used to be. People are more passionate about reading the information in fragments, and many media also create information in fragments, which is a considerable change led by the internet
