Abstract

This study examines how European Union regulations and policies on circular economy in the textile industry impact social economy entities (SEEs), unveiling their role and relevance. Additionally, it offers an exploration of SEEs’ impact on textile recovery and reuse, an area of research still largely unexplored. This analysis provides an insight into how SEEs contribute to circular economy in the textile sector, highlighting their importance for eco-social transition. This article offers valuable perspective on how SEEs can drive sustainability in a key sector of the economy, potentially informing policymaking and business practices. This research fills a gap in understanding the potential of SEEs in fostering eco-social transitions, emphasizing their vital role in achieving circularity in the textile industry.
