Abstract

A brief review of the current status of cancer treatment based on hospital consultations, cancer treatment plans, and cancer management protocols is presented. Some potential for the development of clinical indicators around these various consultation activities are explored. The utilization of hospital tumor conference and tumor boards as a mechanism for multidisciplinary treatment planning and consultation is reviewed and possible utilization of a measure of such activities as potential clinical indicators is presented.
