Abstract
The article proposes a feminist reading of the first four decades of the Criminal Enforcement Law through a dialogue between feminist epistemologies and criminologies, recognizing that there is an important movement toward adopting new paradigms for legislative production in the field of custodial sentencing, as well as new hermeneutic parameters for the application of the Criminal Enforcement Law, given the increase in female incarceration in Brazil and the need for full respect for the fundamental rights of women deprived of their liberty.
