Abstract

Information and communication technologies currently provide many incentives for the development of the educational process not only at the application, but also at the theoretical level. The very process of integrating these technologies into teaching, sometimes called simply the electronic learning (e-learning), however, was no one-off and had stemmed from several different theories of learning, determining the different levels and methods of use. The submitted article presents connections between the particular theories of learning and the possibilities of support from information and communication technologies, with particular focus on the issues of distance education, implemented by e-learning.
