Abstract

Indonesia as a maritime country has the potential to become one of the main global players in logistic distribution. However, the limited port in the country that exist capable to tackle number of cargo handling particularly in the western part of the nation. One of the problems is production center often located far from the distribution center which contributes to the minimum rate of port activities. This paper aims to evaluate port-city concept design may propose potential revenues which may attract investment for development. A combination of primary data and secondary data are used to achieve the targeted objective. The experts involved in this research have a background in regional development and infrastructure from government institutions. The findings illustrate four functions potential offers revenue to the management consist of port, industrial area, supporting infrastructure, and residential. Each of them generates significant revenue with the port as the highest contributor followed by industrial area, residential and supporting infrastructure respectively.
