We have implemented a testbed to study the performance of VoIP in wireless ad hoc networks. The ASNC (Adaptive Source Network-rate Control) scheme is used to battle packet loss by feeding MOS (Mean Opinion Score) and loss information back to the sender. Our different VoIP experiments with measurements on delay, packet loss rate and MOS have validated the feasibility and efficiency of our scheme. It further verifies the simulator we used in the initial investigation. © 2010 ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social-Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering.
