Abstract
The role of this study is to present the theory of the entrepreneurial university and the effects of implementing Clark’s model in five universities in England, Scotland, the Netherlands, Finland, and Sweden, in order to prove how this vision impacts the management of public institutions, the academic communities, the visibility and quality of university research and educational products. The data processed in this article has been collected from research conducted from 1980 to 2010 which led to the formulation of concepts and efficiency factors for entrepreneurial universities, in which the central poles of the managerial system rely on the satisfaction of the customer-beneficiary and on the externalization of the academic results in an industrial type of context.
