Abstract
Technology has become an indispensable and intrinsic element and impacts how we all inhabit and perform tasks. IoT is a structure that permits developers to associate different devices simultaneously for health monitoring. The role of smart device healthcare applications is anticipated to become more predominant with an upsurge in the implementation of devices. In recent years, cellular networks provided uninterrupted access to the Internet. To be utilized for long-term monitoring, smart health monitoring systems are required to persuade explicit medical and functional design prerequisites. Moreover, the restriction of hardware materials is an extensive responsibility for smart health monitoring. Considered as a biomedical instrument, the smart device for remote health monitoring ought to be tremendously advanced and precise and, also, to instigate emergency services in a critical situation. Wearable sensors, being continuously more congenial and less prominent, are suitable for keeping track of an individual’s health without interrupting their daily chores. Certain applications for remote healthcare monitoring (RHCM) systems via smart devices to name a few include heart disease prediction, cancer and diabetes detection, monitoring of electrocardiogram (ECG) signals, uninterrupted vital signs observation, and remote feedback provision. Specific requirements of monitoring for chronic patients, uninterrupted blood monitoring, and drug suspension for diabetic patients, alert signaling for cardiovascular diseases, activity performance monitoring, and health monitoring condition necessitates newer challenges. Certain challenges to be faced are ensuring authentication and authorization for patients and medical staff, the risk involved in data collection, validating data, and so on. With these measures followed with proper guidelines, smart devices for RHCM will prove to be an edge over others.
