Abstract
The author, after offering a short account of the vorks and life of St. Ignatius of Loyola, studies the pedagogical elements of the same and their influence not only on his works but also on those ot the first members of the Company of Jesus. His Spiritual Exercises and his Letters sohw the most important features of the Jesuit activity both of the teachers and of their methods. The universitary sense of the Jesuit pedagogy, the relationships with the pupil, the concen? tration and interest, the functional method, the adaptation to the individual. .. are acutely gathered by the author who offers a selec? ted bibliography at the foot of the page.
