Abstract

This study integrates the China-Laos Railway culture into pop-up book design courses based on the pedagogical concept of information technology convergence and guided by project-based learning. It proposes a multidimensional teaching model combining "information technology + pop-up books + cultural dissemination."Through practical implementation of the China-Laos Railway cultural pop-up book course, the research analyzes the advantages of computer-aided design and AR/VR interactive displays in pop-up book design from both experimental and control group perspectives, exploring digital innovation pathways for book design education. Results indicate that computer-aided design and augmented reality technologies not only enhance students' visual narrative and cross-media expression capabilities but also elevate the vividness and experiential quality of cultural dissemination through immersive interaction. This study provides practical references for teaching innovation in pop-up book design while offering new insights for design education innovation supported by information technology.
