Studi Kasus Tentang Alternatif Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat untuk Anak Tunagrahita di SLB Putro Oyotasih Jatinom Klaten

Abstract

One of the behavioral problems in health is usually related to personal hygiene, the environment, and the emergence of diseases that attack children is the habit of washing hands. Disease prevention efforts can be done by increasing children's knowledge about how to wash hands properly and correctly through the use of media. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Hand Washing with Animated Video Animation (Case Study of Alternative Clean and Healthy Life Behavior for Tumagrahita Children in Putro Oyotasih Jatinom Klaten Extraordinary School). The research method uses descriptive qualitative case study approach. The research was conducted in August to October 2019 with in-depth interview techniques conducted with the main informant consisting of 1 Health Counseling and 3 Students with Developmental Disabilities, additional informants consisting of 4 informants namely 2 SLB teachers Putro Oyotasih Jatinom and 2 SLB students Putro Oyotasih Jatinom.The results of research on the effectiveness of mental retardation children as a whole have increased, this can be seen in their interest when displayed animated video. From the teacher's interview that the animation video is appropriate to be given to mentally retarded children even though a mentally retarded child is a child with special needs but with an animation video a retarded child can catch like a normal child.
