Abstract

A general form of solution of the inhomogeneous Bloch equation is given in terms of a solution of the homogeneous Bloch equation which is assumed to be known. The fundamental system of the homogeneous Bloch equation is derived from the method inherent to the Riccati equation to which the homogeneous Bloch equation reduces. The fundamental matrix is an orthogonal matrix. © 2004 American Institute of Physics.
