Analysis of Structure Van Dijk Social Critical Discussion Contains Hate Speech on The Speech Text of The Chief of The Women's Political Party

Abstract

In Teun A. Discourse Analysis A. Van Dijk tries to elaborate an analysis of the cognition of gender representation of political party speech texts. Speech texts are not only words that are only linguistics, but are social in nature. Van Dijk became one of the models that could be used as a tool to critically analyze discourse. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method so that the data obtained is actual data (as is) sourced from youtube media, in particular, the heads of political parties led by women. Political parties led by women voicing gender are often marginalized. Political speech is a representation of women to voice women who are often victims of harassment and violence not only physically but also expressions of hatred that demean women.
