Abstract
This study gives a brief account of the species of Majidae that are found in the region of Santa Marta. Twenty-eight species were collected, some of them very common on the shallow coast biotops. Keys, descriptions and illustrations are given to identify the various species. General observations on the ecology and biology of the species found in the region are also provided.
