Abstract
Education and psychology are two related fields in an effort to form a human person with good character. Conceptually, these two domains according to Hasan Langgulung can be a force in constructing the paradigm of Islamic education. Both contribute to each other and have implications for knowledge system, attitudes and human behavior. Every action taken by Muslims actually has a close relationship with their system of Islamic knowledge and understanding. Moderate character and or vice versa which is owned by every Muslim person is basically a form of psychological expression and religious understanding. Hasan Langgulung recommended the importance of a psychological approach in Islamic studies as an effort to deliver a moderate, dynamic and inclusive Muslim person.
