Abstract

The focus of this ongoing research is the 3-D modelling of changes in the urban tissue by catastrophic events. For this purpose protected areas in the centre of Bucharest were considered. The principle idea was to establish a reasonable amount of 3-D city models in GIS and CAD and examine how they can be useful in and used for sustainable development decisions, in the case of protection against hazards. © 2013 Author(s).
