Analysis of the expectations of primary education degree students concerning the teaching-learning of school physical education

Abstract

The change in the educational organization and the communication between teachers and students demands to know the expectations and interests of future teachers. For this reason the objective of this study is to know the interests and expectations of students in the Primary Education Degree (PED) about their learning as teachers and the acquisition of knowledge in the subjects of Physical Education (PE) and its Didactics II and Games and Sports. To this end, a systematic review of the literature and an analysis of the data on the expectations of teachers' students is carried out on a sample of 285 students, representing three of the four groups of the subject EF and its Didactics II and the only existing group of Games and Sports. The design was empirical and cross-sectional, applying the question "What expectations do you have about what you are going to learn in this subject," from which responses were obtained grouped according to expectations embodied, age and gender. For the analysis, the statistical program SPSS 22.0 was used, performing percentages, TStudent test and bivariate correlations. It is concluded that the learning expectations of the teachers in training are the didactic methods followed by the contents of the EF subject, and the practices adapted to the age, being in the programming what they show less interest.
