Abstract
Digital transformation has emerged as a primary focus for organizations aiming to enhance efficiency and competitiveness, yet its impact on business performance often falls short of expectations. Cultural and social factors play a crucial role in the effectiveness of digital transformation. This research employs a literature review approach to explore the role of the Tri Hita Karana Concept in moderating the relationship between digital transformation and business performance. Findings indicate that understanding and implementing Tri Hita Karana can assist organizations in managing digital transformation more effectively. By considering the cultural and social aspects emphasized by Tri Hita Karana, organizations can mitigate the risks of imbalance and conflicts that may arise. A better understanding of the relationship between humans and nature in the context of Tri Hita Karana can help organizations account for the environmental impact of business digital transformation initiatives, which, in turn, can influence long-term business reputation and sustainability. The practical implications of this research underscore the need to incorporate Tri Hita Karana values in designing and implementing digital transformation strategies. Further studies could empirically examine the role of Tri Hita Karana in the context of digital transformation and business performance.
