Abstract
Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies that is devastating to the aquatic organisms for it destroys aquatic life and reduces its reproduction. Due to polluted waters of inland aquatic farms in Bicol Region, Philippines the production of fishery resources and the ecosystem is duly affected. Thus, this study assessed the capability of the developedWeb-based InformationSystem (WBIS)using factors such as functionality, usability and efficiency garnering a grand mean of 4.65 having an adjectival interpretation of highly capable. Hence, the WBIS (iARMIS: Inland Aquatic Resources Management Information System)could be an effectivedecision support information generatorthat imparts Web-GIS technology inbioremediation process to improve and sustain the aquaculture industry in Camarines Norte without compromising the environment.
