Pengembangan Media Diorama tentang Kegiatan Ekonomi di Lingkungan Sekitar untuk Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar

Abstract

This research in the background still lacks interest in spesial learning in social studies subject. Learning to use media can help student in the learning process. In learning media is an important aspect in delivering information from educators to students. The use of media in learning will enable the concepts or subjec matter learned by students to be more easily understood. Preliminary studies conducted ini elementary schools refer to that teachers in teacing using conventional methods alone so that student eksperience verbality. The use of instructional media is very aree often used in economic activities. Basd on the results of identification and nalysis of the problem the researchers intend to develop Media Diorama as a social media learning media on economic activity material for fourth grade students of elementary schools. Student and teachers are subjects in research. The development of the media is developed by the teacher so as to create an atmosphere of learning that stimulates students to be active in their mototich and thinking power. Data collection was obtained from interviws, expert validation, student questionnaires, documentation studies and observations. Product development is made using thumbnails (Diorama). Product eligibility assessed based on validation of social studies subject matter expers and the media. Then the product is revised. After product validation and revision the next step is the trial tes. The reflection of this learning media is the development of Diorama media as a social media learning media material for economic aktivities for grade IV elementary schol syudents. Products are made into 3-dimensional images using mini size that resemble economic activities, the final product is a diorama media.
