Abstract

This article brings a case study about the Novos Rumos 4.0 Project, carried out in Foz do Iguaçu/PR by the Itaipu Technological Park – PTI-BR, in 2018. The initiative trained young people in a situation of social vulnerability to develop software using the Python programming language, through training focused on human, critical and technical development. The analysis makes use of a bibliographic and documentary survey to reference all stages of creation and application of the proposal, which trained 30 students and sought to develop technological solutions to problems faced by entities of the third sector in the city. The success achieved by the action allows us to conclude that the development of courses in the area of technology must necessarily involve the construction of Political-Pedagogical Projects that are more adherent to the real and practical needs of a contemporary society that increasingly uses technological resources to overcome difficulties of its daily life. In this sense, the Novos Rumos 4.0 Project can be an inspiring and grounding reference for educational public policies and similar initiatives in other locations.
