Abstract
: The definition of concepts determines our reflection and our action. Therefore, a clear understanding of the concept of “culture” and its derivations will help us plan and implement our language teaching from an intercultural perspective. This article aims at clarifying the definitions of culture, multiculturalism, pluriculturalism and interculturality; as a conclusion, two general lines of action in language education are proposed coherent with those definitions: culture awareness and rich socialization.
